Job Title:  Finance & Risk Management Office Intern

PURPOSE:  To gain experience in basic business principles and work practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assists and provides support to Executive Assistants and Executive Officers in carrying out administrative duties
  • Performs assigned administrative duties both independently and as a member of a team
  • Will be required to utilize databases and spreadsheets for departmental use
  • Assist in general duties as assigned, handling correspondence & filing, handling mail, scanning, faxing and other routine duties
  • Making contact with Banking Institutes and State Agencies to acquire information and/or documents in a positive and courteous manner
  • Various project assignments as directed which will require research, ability to arrive at sound conclusions, make thorough analysis and follow-up through the successful completion of the projects
  • Maintain department files, library, and business magazines and publications

DEPARTMENT:  Office of Vice President & CFO

REPORTS TO:  Executive Assistant to Vice President & CFO

COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS:  Accounting Staff, Administrative Staff, Executive Management, Banking Institutes and State Agencies

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Candidate should be pursuing a business, finance or accounting degree and have completed at least one year of the appropriate study
  • Computer skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential
  • Start date is immediate, 25 to 30 Hours per week, Monday – Friday during fall and/or spring semesters.

CURRENT PAY RATE:  $10/hour
