Accounting Assistant

This position is responsible for both General and Job Cost related accounting duties which support Accounting for The Systems Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Job Cost (job setup, posting entries and running reports)
  • Job Billing (preparing invoices, accuracy checks, correspondence with customers)
  • Assist with posting of General Ledger entries
  • Mobile Time Keeping System – assist with help calls and training of remote site employees
  • Assist with multi-state payroll and sales tax filings

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree or 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience with enterprise level accounting systems including GL, AP, AR and Billing
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and with a high level of accuracy
  • Must have time management skills and be self-motivated
  • Must have strong communication skills, dealing with internal and external customers
